Residential Childcare Worker

About This Role

Working with young people in a residential children's home, you will provide a nurturing and homely environment for them to thrive. This role involves setting boundaries, leading by example, and supporting young people aged 8 to 17, who may have EBD and LD, to achieve good outcomes as they transition into adulthood. It suits individuals dedicated to making a difference in children's and young people's lives within a therapeutic model of care.

Requirements

• Experience of working with young people in a care, community, or youth setting
• Compassionate understanding of the complex needs of young people
• Knowledge of the importance of safeguarding vulnerable young people
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to work within a team to help support and motivate each other to provide outstanding care
• Passion and dedication needed to positively impact the lives of young people
• Good attention to detail and able to maintain confidential and accurate records
• Consent to DBS Checks
• Full UK driving licence
• GCSE or equivalent
• 1 year of Residential Childcare experience
• 1 year of Support Environment experience
