About the role
We are looking for individuals (both males and females) who have a heart for children and youth with emotional disorders. Experience working with children and youth in treatment settings is preferred but not required. We provide 24 hour/7 days a week care. Youth will range in age from 6 to 17. Our girls have suffered abuse, neglect, and trauma. We provide trust-based trauma-informed care focusing on safety, well-being, and healing. We help youth make good choices and learn healthful living. Through connecting and building relationships with children and youth we bring hope, while establishing a foundation for success. Direct Care responsibilities focus on keeping children and youth safe, establishing a therapeutic environment, supervision of daily and recreational activities, wake-up, education/school, hygiene, mentoring, listening, nurturing and giving youth a voice, being a positive role model, and providing structure and accountability through rules and guidelines.
You will receive pre-service training and continuing education in CPR/First-aid, Emergency Behavior Intervention, Trauma informed care, and other subjects relating to youth in care. You must be 21 years of age or older; complete a Criminal Background and Central Registry Check; FBI digital fingerprint check; complete TB test; pre-employment drug screening; CPR and CPI (a form of behavior intervention). The cost for fingerprinting, TB test, CPR, and CPI will be reimbursed after 90 days of employment. Must be licensed to drive and have proof of insurance.

Pay: $11.64 - $18.00 per hour
