Overview
AtkinsRéalis is looking for a Resident Engineer, in Abu Dhabi, UAE.
Your role
- Lead and supervise all mechanical engineering activities related to EHV/HV substations (132kV,220kV,400kV and above).
- Ensure construction activities are executed in accordance with approved drawings,project specifications,contract documents,and local authority requirements.
- Monitor contractor performance,productivity,and adherence to project schedules.
- Conduct regular site inspections to verify progress,workmanship,and compliance.
- Review and recommend approval of contractor submissions,including method statements,material submittals,shop drawings,and work procedures.
- Participate in progress review meetings and coordinate with all project stakeholders
About you
- Bachelor's degree or a related field.
- Minimum of 12+ years of experience in MEP engineering, with a focus on erection, testing, and commissioning.
- Excellent coordination and communication skills to work effectively with subcontractors, clients, and civil teams.
- Proven ability to prepare and review technical drawings and calculations.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
