Researcher, Research Development, Research Scientist

About This Role

This short-term position, with an expected duration of two years and a possibility of extension, involves conducting and coordinating field and molecular lab experiments. The role also includes performing basic data analysis of large next-generation sequencing and high-throughput phenotyping data sets, as well as providing technical support and research. This position is ideal for a researcher with lab and/or field experience.

Responsibilities

• Conduct and coordinate field and molecular lab experiments
• Perform basic data analysis of large next-generation sequencing data sets and high-throughput phenotyping data sets
• Provide other technical support and research as required, such as supervision responsibilities, technical guidance/training to other members of the group
• Manage lab responsibilities including ordering supplies, maintaining equipment, and ensuring safety compliance

Requirements

• BA/BS with at least 2 years of experience or a combination of related education and work experience to equal six years
• Previous lab research experience and/or field research experience
• Proficient computer skills

• Previous lab management experience
