About This Role

These research scientist positions at GlycoT Therapeutics involve applying innovative chemoenzymatic platform technology to glycoengineer antibodies and produce site-specific antibody-drug conjugates. The roles are for self-motivated and detail-oriented scientists who can conduct independent research.

Responsibilities

• Design, clone, express, purify, and characterize glyco-enzymes and their mutants from E. coli
• Immobilize glyco-enzymes and test their activity and other biochemical properties
• Perform chemoenzymatic glycoengineering of antibodies and other glycoproteins
• Prepare and characterize antibody-drug conjugates
• Conduct mammalian cell culture and cell-based assays
• Perform limited administrative duties

Requirements

• BS, MS, or PhD degree in biochemistry, chemistry, or molecular biology
• 1–5 years of experience in recombinant protein technology, enzymology, and/or glycobiology
• Solid hands-on experience with molecular cloning, protein expression, purification, and characterization
• Excellent knowledge of lab safety; ability to keep clear and complete records of experiments and data
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
