About the role
Our client is seeking a research professional to support investment banking teams through high-quality industry, market, and company research. This role will contribute to differentiated insights, strengthen knowledge and content management practices, and leverage both proprietary and third-party databases to improve team efficiency and decision-making.
Job Summary
- Act as a subject matter expert for industry and market research across global and Asia Pacific markets.
- Partner closely with investment banking teams to understand research requirements and deliver targeted, actionable insights.
- Conduct qualitative and quantitative analysis using internal resources, external databases, and public sources.
- Develop and maintain industry research materials, market intelligence, and knowledge resources to support client advisory activities.
- Enhance knowledge management processes and establish best practices to improve productivity and reduce repetitive tasks.
- Provide guidance on accessing, extracting, analyzing, and utilizing data from various research platforms and databases.
- Manage relationships with external data and information providers.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including Compliance and Market Data teams, to ensure appropriate data usage and mitigate operational, financial, and reputational risks.
Requirements
- 2 to 3 years of experience in business research, industry research, market intelligence, equity research, investment banking support, consulting, or a related financial services environment.
- Strong research and analytical skills, with the ability to synthesize complex information into concise, business-focused insights.
- Business-level proficiency in English and Chinese, with strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience working with external vendors and managing stakeholder relationships.
- Hands-on experience using third-party financial, market intelligence, or research databases.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver high-quality output in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Strong attention to detail and a proactive, service-oriented mindset.
