About This Role
The Coverage is an online news agency focusing on health system content. This role involves reporting on complex health system issues and requires a candidate who can work flexibly and under pressure.
Responsibilities
- Conduct interviews and write news articles, analyses, interviews, and special reports.
- Cover news both in Bangkok and provinces, while also working from the office.
- Capture photographs to accompany written content.
- Be agile in traveling and working irregular hours.
Requirements
- Strong writing and listening skills, with an understanding of the nature of the reporting role.
- Awareness of current health system issues and complexities, such as healthcare workforce, budget structures, research, and public health systems.
- Willingness to travel to provinces by van or plane, averaging three trips per month, each lasting 1-2 days.
- Adaptability and ability to collaborate effectively with others.
- Responsibility and punctuality, dressing appropriately for the occasion.
- Preparedness to handle competition and manage pressure.
- Possession of reporting equipment including a notebook and audio recording device.
