About This Role

We are looking for a dynamic reporter for our news room in Winnipeg. You will conduct live and recorded reporting, propose story ideas, research, write, and present news in regional and national programming. The successful candidate will contribute to all editorial platforms as needed.

Requirements

• University degree or equivalent
• Three (3) years of relevant direct experience demonstrating proven field capability and knowledge of the broadcasting sector
• Excellent reporting and interviewing skills
• Comfort presenting live
• Bilingualism (French-English) is mandatory
• Knowledge of issues affecting the Francophone community and Manitoba in general
• Understanding of Radio-Canada's journalistic policies and programming
• Ability to work flexible hours and weekends as needed
• Ability to work with diverse teams
• Demonstrate critical thinking
• Proven ability to work at a high level of stress in tight deadlines
• Experience working on multiple stories simultaneously
• Understanding of the role and responsibilities of a public broadcaster
• Valid driver's license and a driving record that meets CBC/Radio-Canada's insurance criteria
