About This Role
This Release Manager role involves leading the planning, coordination, governance, and execution of application releases for enterprise-scale technology programs. The successful candidate will ensure the successful delivery of software releases by managing schedules, deployment activities, environment readiness, risk mitigation, and stakeholder communication across multiple delivery teams. The position suits an individual with strong experience in Release Management, CI/CD practices, DevOps processes, and deployment automation, capable of managing complex release cycles in fast-paced enterprise environments.
Responsibilities
- Own the end-to-end release lifecycle, including planning, scheduling, coordination, deployment, and post-release activities
- Develop and maintain release roadmaps and deployment calendars across multiple applications and project streams
- Coordinate release activities across Development, QA, DevOps, Infrastructure, Security, and Business teams
- Ensure release milestones, dependencies, risks, and timelines are effectively managed and communicated
- Establish and maintain release governance processes, standards, and controls
- Conduct release readiness assessments and facilitate deployment approvals
- Perform risk analysis, impact assessments, and contingency planning for production releases
- Define and manage rollback strategies to minimize business disruption
- Manage and optimize CI/CD pipelines to support reliable and repeatable deployments
- Drive the adoption of deployment automation and DevOps best practices
- Collaborate with engineering teams to improve release efficiency, deployment quality, and operational stability
- Ensure deployment processes comply with organizational policies and security standards
- Oversee environment planning, utilization, and release dependencies across development, testing, staging, and production environments
- Coordinate change management activities and ensure alignment with release schedules
- Work closely with operational teams to ensure production readiness and successful deployments
- Track and report release metrics, deployment performance, and release outcomes
- Identify process improvement opportunities and implement best practices to enhance release quality and efficiency
- Facilitate post-implementation reviews and drive continuous improvement initiatives
Requirements
Nice to have:
- Experience with Pega release management and deployment processes
- Exposure to Banking, Financial Services, or large-scale Digital Transformation programs
- Familiarity with Agile, DevOps, ITIL, and Change Management frameworks
