Relationship Manager

About This Role

Cultivating strong partnerships with dealers and sales managers is central to this Relationship Manager Associate role, which provides high-level customer service to the internal Auto Finance business. The role suits a strategic thinker who thrives on building positive relationships, influencing 60-80 dealerships while supporting outside sales managers.

Responsibilities

• Cultivate positive relationships with dealerships
• Optimize communication skills by creating strategic deals and goals with dealerships over the phone
• Review the structure in underwriting for Capital One Auto Finance (COAF)
• Guide the deals in house for funding
• Analyze territory production goals
• Partner successfully with peers and teammates to efficiently achieve operational alignment and mutual objectives
• Be the first line of contact for Capital One Auto Finance (COAF) involving issues in underwriting and funding
• Make outbound phone calls to dealers to capture their business for COAF
• Take inbound calls from dealers to strategically analyze their potential territories resulting in a game plan to achieve a target goal
• Monitor and make adjustments to the plan as the month progresses to achieve desired goals

Requirements

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent certification
• At least 1 year of experience in Financial Services or at least 1 year of Business to Business Sales experience
• Capital One will not sponsor a new applicant for employment authorization for this position

Nice to have:

• Bachelor
• 2+ years experience in Auto Finance
• 2+ years experience in Customer Relations
• 5+ years experience in Customer Service

Important Details

• Schedule: Available approximately 3 Saturdays a month as needed to cover dealer inquiries and escalations with Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday off; Potential to work up to 2 Sundays a month with Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday off
• In office 5 days a week for the first 90 day training period
