Regulated Pharmacy Technician

About This Role

This role involves working as a regulated professional pharmacy technician, licensed with a provincial college of pharmacy. You will be a key part of a pharmacy team dedicated to providing exceptional patient-centered care and exceeding patient expectations, focusing on the health and well-being of individuals and families in the community.

Responsibilities

• Receive and transcribe verbal prescriptions from practitioners
• Ensure prescriptions are complete and authentic
• Provide injections/vaccinations as applicable by regulations in certain jurisdictions
• Transfer prescriptions to and receive prescriptions from other pharmacies
• Ensure the accuracy of prepared prescriptions
• Conduct the final check of prepared prescriptions
• Confirm the accuracy of drug and personal health information in patient records

Requirements

• Completion of the Pharmacy Technician Certification
• Excellent attention to detail
• Ability to multi-task and work independently in a fast-paced environment
