About This Role
This part-time Registered Veterinary Nurse position is with Robson Vets, a friendly small animal practice in Aberdeenshire. The role involves delivering high-quality nursing care to patients and supporting excellent client experiences, working collaboratively with a team of vets, nurses, and reception staff.
Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality nursing care to patients
- Support excellent client experiences
- Work collaboratively with veterinary surgeons and the wider practice team
- Take responsibility for the nursing care of a range of first opinion cases
- Contribute to clinical standards
- Support the ongoing development of patient care within the practice
- Nurse clinics
- Theatre work including monitoring anaesthesia
- Nurse led dentals
- Inpatient care
- Support vets with diagnostics including imaging and lab work
Requirements
- Registration as a Veterinary Nurse with the RCVS
- Experience working in clinical practice, with growing confidence in medical and surgical nursing
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with clients and colleagues
- Good organisational skills and the ability to manage workload effectively
- A proactive approach to learning, reflection, and continuous improvement

Important Details
- Schedule: 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday on a rota basis
- Weekends: 1 in 5 weekends, working Friday from 2pm-8pm, followed by Saturday from 8:30am-6pm
- On-call: Overnight on-call duties focused on inpatient care as part of a sleep-in shift on Friday nights during weekend rota
- Team: 4 senior vets, 4 nurses, 3 VCAs and a dedicated reception team
