Role Overview We are seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist to provide compassionate, high-quality respiratory care within a collaborative healthcare team. This role involves assessing, diagnosing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient respiratory needs, utilizing advanced clinical expertise and adhering to hospital and regulatory standards.
Key responsibilities include effective communication, documentation, patient and team education, and performing diagnostic and therapeutic respiratory procedures such as mechanical ventilation, bronchoscopies, and sleep studies. The therapist may support critical care activities like ECMO, BLS, and cardiopulmonary rehabilitation, demonstrating advanced skills as needed.
Qualifications include an Associate degree or CoARC-accredited program in Respiratory Therapy, valid Respiratory Care Practitioner and RRT licenses, and Basic Cardiovascular Life Support certification. A Bachelor's degree is preferred. The role requires the ability to perform multiple duties, prioritize effectively, and continuously seek professional growth.
