Role Description The Registered Respiratory Therapist is a full-time, on-site role located in Conneaut, OH. This role provides comprehensive respiratory care, including assessing patients, developing and implementing care plans, and administering therapeutic interventions such as oxygen therapy, aerosol treatments, and mechanical ventilation. The therapist conducts diagnostic tests, monitors cardiopulmonary status, and adjusts treatments based on patient response and clinical protocols. Day-to-day responsibilities include collaborating with physicians and interdisciplinary teams, documenting care accurately, and educating patients and families on respiratory conditions, equipment, and home care practices. The role may also involve supporting care in specialized areas such as intensive care units, emergency departments, and neonatal environments, while adhering to safety, infection control, and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

  • Candidates should possess strong Cardiopulmonary and Respiratory Therapy skills to assess, treat, and monitor patients with acute and chronic respiratory conditions.
  • Candidates should possess Respiratory Care skills, including administration of oxygen therapy, aerosolized medications, ventilator management, and performance of diagnostic pulmonary function tests.
  • Candidates should possess Neonatal Intensive Care skills to provide safe, evidence-based respiratory support for newborns and infants in high-acuity settings.
  • Candidates should possess a solid foundation in Medicine related to respiratory pathophysiology, pharmacology, and critical care practices.
  • Active state licensure as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) and credentialing through NBRC, or eligibility to obtain, is required.
  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Respiratory Therapy or a related field from an accredited program is preferred.
  • Strong communication, teamwork, and patient education skills, with the ability to work effectively in fast-paced clinical environments.
  • Current BLS certification; ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications are
