Role Overview
Provides specialized nursing care in a Level III NICU, supporting critically ill newborns and their families.
Responsibilities
- Deliver family-centered care in a 35-bed neonatal intensive care unit with single-room setup.
- Perform neonatal assessments, monitor patient progress, and administer treatments.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans.
- Occasionally float to Peds/PICU, SCN, and Mother Baby units as needed.
- Ensure compliance with clinical protocols and maintain accurate documentation.
Qualifications & Skills
- Associate Degree or higher in Nursing; Bachelor's degree required within five years if holding an Associate Degree.
- Minimum of 1 year experience in Level III/IV NICU setting.
- Current Illinois RN licensure, BLS, and NRP certification (NRP within six months).
