Ward 4 is a dynamic surgical ward where nurses play a key role in patient recovery and wellbeing. Caring for patients across a range of surgical specialties provides excellent opportunities to develop assessment skills, clinical judgement, and expertise in acute care.

About the Team/Service/Location
Ward 4 is a 28bed inpatient surgical ward in Whangarei Hospital, one of the main secondary hospitals serving Northland. It operates within Surgical Services, caring for adult patients requiring inpatient surgical management and recovery. We support both elective and acute admissions.
Ward 4 supports a mix of surgical specialties, such as colorectal, complex general surgery, complex urology and trauma providing you with variety and making each day different.

Essential Requirements:
- New Zealand Registered Nurse with a current Annual Practising Certificate
- Demonstrated commitment to providing high-quality patient care
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Enthusiasm for learning and professional development
