Registered Nurse Telemetry

About This Role

This full-time day shift position on the Telemetry department at Ascension Saint Thomas Midtown in Nashville, TN, focuses on delivering compassionate, evidence-based nursing care to high-acuity patients. The role involves monitoring patient status, coordinating care across specialties, and managing the discharge process.

Responsibilities

• Lead the delivery of compassionate, evidence-based nursing care, ensuring every intervention aligns with the highest safety standards and organizational protocols
• Monitor and communicate real-time patient status to the care team, enabling swift, life-saving clinical decisions
• Coordinate care efforts across multiple specialties, acting as the central hub between hospitalists, cardiologists, and NPs to provide a seamless, high-quality patient experience
• Execute advanced clinical skills, including cardiac drip titration and ACLS protocols, to provide expert-level support for high-acuity patients
• Manage the full discharge process, ensuring patients and families transition from the unit with clarity and confidence

Requirements

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted
• Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Tennessee Board of Nursing or current home state license for multi-state license recognition "Compact State" obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date
• Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR Required professional licensure at time of hire

• 6+ months of acute care nursing experience
