About the role
Role: Registered Nurse specializing in the Cardiac Valve Program, providing direct patient care in an outpatient setting.
Responsibilities: Plan, coordinate, and implement care for valve patients, act as a liaison with physicians, families, and departments, assess patient resources, and develop comprehensive teaching plans covering lab results, medications, and diagnoses.
Qualifications: Graduate from an approved nursing school, valid Texas RN license or compact license with in-state licensing within 90 days, BLS certification, and 2+ years of nursing experience, including 1-2 years with cardiac or telemetry patients. ACLS preferred.
Skills: Strong communication, coordination, and patient education skills, with knowledge of cardiovascular care.
Key Duties: Deliver high-quality, safe care, collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, and support patient education and resource assessment.
