Role Overview:
Provides professional nursing care within an interdisciplinary team, utilizing the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess patient status through interviews, observations, and physical exams.
- Develop individualized care plans collaboratively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
- Implement interventions to achieve expected outcomes and document progress.
- Evaluate and modify care plans based on patient response and condition changes.
- Ensure accurate documentation, perform bedside lab testing, and troubleshoot equipment issues.
- Promote evidence-based practices, patient safety, and clinical knowledge sharing.
- Coordinate interdisciplinary care, communicate effectively, and advocate for patients.
- Educate patients and families with culturally appropriate teaching strategies.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives, data collection, and process enhancements.
Qualifications And Skills
- Licensed Registered Nurse (RN) with current licensure and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, teamwork, and communication skills.
- Knowledge of equipment, lab procedures, and evidence-based nursing practices.
- Ability to prioritize, collaborate, and adapt to changing patient needs.
