The role involves providing high-quality, patient-centered care in a Critical Care Step Down Unit, focusing on conditions such as Congestive Heart Failure, COPD, DKA, and Sepsis.
Responsibilities include utilizing skills like EKG interpretation, central line care, and assisting with bedside procedures such as endoscopies and bronchoscopies. The nurse will collaborate with Patient Care Nursing Assistants, Interns, Providers, PT, and OT in a 14-bed unit equipped with advanced technology, including telemetry monitoring and virtual communication tools.
Key duties encompass critical thinking, delegation, time management, and ensuring patient safety and comfort.
Qualifications include graduation from an accredited nursing program, Ohio RN licensure, BLS certification, and ACLS certification within specified timeframes. PRN requires at least one year of relevant RN experience with all certifications.
Preferred qualifications include a BSN and professional certification recognized by the Magnet designation.
