About the role
Role: Provides direct patient care as an RN in an oncology unit, managing moderate to high acuity cases including cancer treatment, symptom management, immunosuppression, and neutropenia.
Responsibilities: Develops and implements individualized care plans, assesses physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs, and educates patients and families on illness management and post-treatment care. Participates in promoting patient safety, quality, and regulatory compliance, and collaborates with a multidisciplinary team. Uses critical nursing skills to evaluate patient needs, preferences, and barriers, ensuring clear communication across care continuum. Maintains a safety-sensitive approach, working in a constant state of alertness.
Qualifications & Skills: ADN or BSN required; RN license; < 2 years of experience preferred. Knowledge of oncology care, strong assessment, communication, and critical thinking skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
