Registered Nurse (RN) Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU)

About This Role

Working in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at Kootenay Boundary Regional Hospital, the Registered Nurse assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates client care for newborns. This role suits a reliable, flexible, and motivated individual passionate about nursing in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Practice in a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit and be responsible for the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of client care
• Work in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team
• Ensure the delivery of client-centered care by assisting individual clients and their families respond to changing health care needs
• Demonstrate a specialized body of knowledge and base practice on nursing science and related content from other sciences and humanities

Requirements

• Graduation from an approved School of Nursing with current practicing registration with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM)
• Advanced preparation in Neonatal clinical specialty or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• Current Neonatal Resuscitation Program (within 2 years)
• Current CPR (within 3 years)

Important Details

• Schedule: days and nights rotating from 07:00 to 19:15, 19:00 to 07:15 hours
• Contract: relief part-time (0.79) until March 3, 2028, or the return of the incumbent
