Registered Nurse – Adult Withdrawal Unit (AWU)
Location: Northern British Columbia, Across Multiple Facilities

Seeking experienced Registered Nurses to provide patient-centered care in an Adult Withdrawal Unit , supporting individuals through withdrawal management, stabilization, and recovery , ensuring safety and clinical excellence .
Key Responsibilities
- Provide assessment, monitoring, and withdrawal management care
- Administer medications and follow clinical protocols (e.g., CIWA, COWS)
- Ensure patient safety, observation, and crisis intervention
- Support mental health and addiction recovery needs
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation
- Follow infection control, safety, and regulatory standards
Qualifications (BC Standards)
✔ Registered Nurse ( BSN or equivalent )
✔ Active registration with BCCNM (BC College of Nurses and Midwives)
✔ Adult Withdrawal / Mental Health / Addictions experience preferred
✔ Strong knowledge of withdrawal protocols, mental health care, and medications
✔ Certification in BLS/CPR (required)
✔ Crisis prevention/intervention training (preferred)
✔ Ability to work in fast-paced/rural settings
✔ Strong clinical judgment, communication, and adaptability
Position Details
- Pay: CAD $48–$58/hour
- Schedule: Full-time, 80 hours bi-weekly
- Travel: Covered (travel + accommodation + time pay)
- Shift: As per facility needs
