Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) – Med Surg/Telemetry
Location: Neptune, New Jersey
Duration: 13 Weeks
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for a fast-paced Medical-Surgical/Telemetry unit within an acute care hospital setting. The RN will provide comprehensive patient-centered care, collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, and utilize evidence-based nursing practices to ensure exceptional patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans.
- Perform ongoing patient assessments and identify priorities for care.
- Administer medications and therapeutic treatments according to physician orders and established protocols.
- Monitor patient conditions and respond appropriately to changes in clinical status.
- Document patient care accurately and timely in accordance with regulatory and organizational standards.
- Collaborate with physicians and healthcare team members to coordinate patient care.
- Advocate for evidence-based nursing practices and quality patient outcomes.
- Provide compassionate, patient-focused care while maintaining professional nursing standards.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Requirements
Experience
- Minimum 2 years of recent RN experience in a Medical-Surgical/Telemetry unit within a major acute care hospital.
- Strong Medical-Surgical and Telemetry background required.
- Experience caring for higher-acuity and step-down level patients preferred.
Education
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ASN) required.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
Certifications & Licensure
- Active New Jersey RN License or Compact RN License.
- ACLS Certification.
- BLS (AHA).
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS).
- Telemetry Certification.
- Stroke Education/CEU (4 Contact Hours).
