About the role
Role Overview: This position involves providing specialized nursing care in the Labor and Delivery department as a Registered Nurse (RN).
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver direct patient care utilizing the nursing process within a multidisciplinary team approach.
- Prioritize wellness, evidence-based practice, and patient safety to achieve optimal outcomes.
- Mentor and precept new healthcare staff, fostering a collaborative and educational environment.
- Support and adhere to standards such as AWHONN and AACN, including certifications like RNC-OB, C-EFM, NRP, and CCRN.
- Participate in a fast-paced, innovative clinical environment focused on women and infants' health, including units like Mother/Baby, Birth Center, Women's Care, and NICU.
Qualifications & Skills
- Graduate from an accredited nursing program or approved by the state board if less than 3 years' experience.
- Valid RN licensure and relevant certifications such as NRP, ACLS, and BLS.
- Minimum of 6 months Women and Infants nursing experience or completion of a fellowship program.
- Strong clinical judgment, teamwork, and commitment to continuous learning.
Additional Details: The role is onsite, with shift work primarily during nights. Compensation varies based on experience, with incentives for night shifts.
