About the role
Role: ICU - Intensive Care Unit Supervisor for a registered nurse (RN) in a hospital setting.
Responsibilities: Oversee daily operations of the ICU, ensuring safe patient care, staffing, and fiscal management. Collaborate with leadership to meet strategic goals, promote a safe environment for staff, patients, and visitors, and support staff development through ongoing education. Respond flexibly to emergencies and staffing changes, delegate tasks effectively, and maintain clinical competencies tailored to patient populations. Lead quality improvement initiatives, monitor unit performance, and ensure adherence to safety and care standards.
Qualifications & Skills: Associates degree in Nursing, valid multi-state RN license, BLS CPR certification within 7 days of hire, CPI certification, and other unit-specific certifications as required. Preferred candidates have 2-3 years of acute care experience with demonstrated leadership skills. Ability to manage priorities independently, respond confidently to crises, and foster a service excellence culture.
