Registered Nurse (RN) - Emergency Department - Part-Time

Position: Registered Nurse (RN) in the Emergency Department, providing high-quality patient care and support within a fast-paced hospital setting.

Responsibilities

• Assist with activities of daily living, including hygiene, mobility, and comfort measures.
• Monitor and document vital signs, obtain specimens, and assist with diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
• Ensure patient safety, maintain a clean environment, and follow infection control policies.
• Transport patients, prepare them for procedures, and provide post-mortem care if needed.
• Respond promptly to patient call lights, communicate effectively with patients and families, and report changes in patient conditions.
• Maintain confidentiality, adhere to policies, and participate in performance improvement activities.
• Support the healthcare team by assisting with equipment checks, supply management, and documentation.

Qualifications & Skills

• High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or clinical experience preferred.
• Effective communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
• Graduate of a state-certified program, nursing student, or foreign graduate nurse with at least one year of experience.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; OHS Fit Test and Annual Assessment preferred.
• Ability to work in a team, follow policies, and provide compassionate patient care.
