About the role
Role: The RRT Nurse is a registered nurse responsible for coordinating rapid response assessments, implementing interventions, documenting outcomes, and ensuring culturally appropriate patient care during emergencies.
Key Responsibilities: Respond to RRT calls, assess and plan patient care, communicate with multidisciplinary teams, intervene in crises, educate patients and staff, and develop clinical guidelines. Monitor and analyze RRT data to identify improvement opportunities, track patient outcomes, and implement quality enhancements. Serve as a professional role model, mentor peers, and support a collaborative, ethical work environment.
Qualifications & Skills: Requires an associate or bachelor’s degree in nursing, valid RN licensure, and certifications in BLS and ACLS. Minimum of 2 years in critical care, with strong communication, multitasking, delegation, and stress management skills. Proficiency in computer use, adherence to ethical standards, and knowledge of Georgia Nurse Practice Act are essential. Additional certifications like critical care nursing and NIHSS are preferred.
