About the role
Role: Registered Nurse in the Pulmonary Medicine Unit, caring for higher acuity patients.
Responsibilities: Develop and evaluate individualized care plans, assess patient health data, communicate with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams, and provide education tailored to cultural and learning needs.
Contribute to professional development, support clinical education, and foster a compassionate environment.
Assist technical staff with procedures, participate in performance improvement and research activities, monitor wound/ostomy/skin care treatments, and ensure HIPAA compliance.
Transport acutely ill patients as needed.
Qualifications: Associate Degree or higher in Nursing; active Illinois RN license; ACLS and BLS certifications.
Preferred: Bachelor's degree and 1+ year inpatient nursing experience.
Skills: Strong assessment, communication, and collaborative skills; ability to individualize patient education; knowledge of wound and skin care; teamwork and professionalism.
