About the role
Position Overview: The registered nurse (RN) provides comprehensive patient care in a specialized Child & Adolescent Psychiatry unit, caring for patients aged 2-18 years in a short-term crisis intervention setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate nursing care, including direct patient care, education, and care transitions.
- Conduct thorough assessments covering biological, medical, developmental, psychosocial, psychological, and educational aspects.
- Support professional nursing practice across various settings, adhering to established standards and models.
- Demonstrate leadership through mentoring, committee participation, and quality improvement initiatives.
- Delegate patient care based on skill level, patient acuity, and resources.
- Possibly drive personal vehicle as part of role responsibilities.
Qualifications & Skills
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
- Minimum of one year RN experience; baccalaureate degree in nursing required within five years for certain start dates.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, teamwork, critical thinking, and adaptability.
- Proficiency with electronic medical records preferred.
- Valid RN license and BLS certification required; additional certifications may be necessary.
Additional Details
- Eligible for TN sponsorship with required licensure and certification.
- Full-time role with variable shifts including days, evenings, nights, and weekends.
- Compensation ranges from $43.84 to $66.84 per hour, with competitive benefits and opportunities for professional growth.
