Per Diem Registered Nurse specializing in Labor and Delivery and postpartum care, providing safe, compassionate, and effective nursing services.
Responsibilities
- Independently deliver patient-centered care using the nursing process.
- Supervise and guide unlicensed assistive personnel in interdisciplinary care.
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes and safety.
- Contribute to high-quality patient experiences and safety initiatives.
Qualifications & Skills
- Current IL nursing license; graduate of NLN-accredited school; BSN preferred.
- Minimum of two years recent acute care experience in Labor and Delivery and postpartum care.
- Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP (AHA).
- Strong communication, teamwork, and clinical skills in labor and postpartum settings.
Key Duties:
Provide comprehensive maternity nursing care, utilize nursing processes in planning and evaluation, and promote safety and quality care in hospital settings. The role involves travel between hospitals and adherence to shift and weekend requirements.
