About This Role

This night-shift post on the cardiac ward pairs patient care with mentoring new nurses. This Registered Nurse role in Pediatrics at Indiana University Health involves providing and coordinating competent, evidence-based care across the care continuum. Responsibilities

• Adhere to the mission, vision, and values of Indiana University Health
• Comply with the organization's Code of Ethics and Corporate Compliance, and all relevant policies, procedures, guidelines, and regulatory/accreditation standards
• Provide and coordinate competent, evidence-based care, including assessment, diagnosis, outcome identification, planning, implementation, and evaluation
• Participate in decision-making, teaching, mentoring, and collaboration with the multidisciplinary team to advance the patient plan of care
• Achieve outcomes and enhance operational efficiency
• Adhere to the ANA Scope and Standards of Professional Nursing and the Code of Ethics for Nurses with Interpretive Statements

Requirements

• Associate of Nursing (ASN)
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Indiana or an active Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) RN license
• Graduation from a nationally accredited nursing program
• Basic Life Support certification through the AHA

Nice to have:

• Bachelor of Nursing (BSN)
• More than two years of acute care experience (for candidates not graduated from a nationally accredited program, subject to CNO approval)
• Other advanced Life Support certifications per unit/department specialty according to patient care policies
