Qualifications
- ADN or higher degree in nursing
- Active and unencumbered Registered Nurse license
- BLS, ACLS, PALS certification preferred
- 1+ years of experience in pediatrics as well as a PACU, ICU, or similar high-acuity setting preferred
- Experience with pediatric medical equipment and procedures
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with all levels of healthcare professionals, children, and families
Responsibilities
- Provide immediate post-operative care to pediatric surgical patients, monitoring vital signs, and managing symptoms of anesthesia
- Administer prescribed medications and implement treatment plans as directed by medical staff
- Collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and surgical teams to ensure seamless patient transition from the operating room to the PACU to discharge home
- Educate young patients and their families on post-operative care, including pain management, wound care, and potential complications
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with hospital policies and procedures

Salary: $54,000 to $100,000 /year
