Qualifications & Skills
- Licensed Registered Nurse (RN) with over 1 year of experience
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days (AHA)
- Proficient in nursing procedures such as assessments, IV starts, dressing changes, medication administration, and port access
- Ability to document accurately and maintain safety standards
- Strong communication, teamwork, and professional development skills
Key Responsibilities
- Perform unit-specific nursing duties and implement care procedures
- Conduct initial patient assessments and develop personalized care plans
- Modify care plans based on ongoing evaluations
- Ensure patient and staff safety by reporting hazards and incidents
- Provide emotional support to patients and families
- Administer chemotherapy/biotherapy and assist with procedures like bone marrow aspirations
- Maintain accurate documentation and participate in departmental competency requirements
