Role: Registered Nurse - Oncology
Responsibilities Include
- Providing safe, effective, and compassionate nursing care for oncology patients in the Kellogg Cancer Center
- Planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care using the nursing process
- Administering chemotherapy, medications, and blood products
- Supervising and guiding unlicensed assistive personnel in delivering interdisciplinary care
- Collaborating with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes and continuity of care
- Promoting safety and high-quality patient experiences
Qualifications And Skills
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (required)
- Current Illinois Registered Nurse licensure (required)
- Current CPR certification from American Heart Association or Red Cross (required)
- Preferred: Chemotherapy/Biotherapy certification and Oncology Certified Nurse
- Preferred: 1 year of chemotherapy infusion or hematology/oncology patient care experience
