About the role
Role Overview: This position involves providing chemotherapy infusions in an outpatient oncology setting, delivering advanced cancer therapies, and supporting patients through education, emotional care, and therapeutic communication.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and other cancer treatments
- Support patient education and emotional well-being
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team on innovative treatments and research
- Manage IV placements, ports, and PICC lines while building patient relationships
- Coordinate nursing care, including direct care, patient/family education, and transitions
- Lead quality improvement initiatives and serve as a preceptor or team leader
Qualifications & Skills
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program
- Minimum of one year of RN experience
- Excellent communication, critical thinking, and teamwork skills
- Ability to adapt to unpredictable situations
- Current RN license, BLS certification, and applicable state licensure
