Job Title: Registered Nurse – Occupational Health
Location: Ironton, OH
Duration: 13 Weeks
Schedule: Day Shift | Monday–Friday | 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Compensation
- Local Pay: $43/hour
- Traveler Pay: Up to $2,000/week (based on experience)
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse – Occupational Health to support employee health and wellness initiatives in an occupational health setting. The RN will provide preventive healthcare services, health screenings, health coaching, and employee wellness support while working independently in a fast-paced workplace environment.
Responsibilities
- Conduct employee health assessments and wellness evaluations.
- Administer flu vaccinations and support seasonal immunization programs.
- Perform biometric screenings and health monitoring activities.
- Provide health coaching and education focused on preventive care and healthy lifestyle choices.
- Deliver basic primary care and preventive health services within scope of practice.
- Evaluate employee health concerns and provide appropriate recommendations or referrals.
- Maintain accurate employee health records and documentation.
- Promote workplace health and safety initiatives.
- Collaborate with management and employees to support occupational health programs.
- Ensure compliance with applicable healthcare regulations, policies, and procedures.
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Occupational Health nursing experience required.
- Experience administering flu shots and biometric screenings.
- Knowledge of primary care and preventive health services.
- Strong assessment, communication, and patient education skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage employee health programs.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working as a solo Occupational Health Nurse.
- Experience performing Power Industrial Vehicle (PIV) assessments.
- Prior experience supporting employee wellness and workplace health initiatives.
