Provides professional nursing care in a Level III NICU, utilizing critical thinking to assess, plan, and evaluate patient care, while coordinating with the healthcare team. Responsibilities include monitoring patient progress, recognizing changes, delegating tasks, and ensuring adherence to hospital policies and state regulations. Flexibility to float into Peds/PICU, SCN, and Mother Baby units is required.
Qualifications & Skills
Requires an Associate Degree or higher in Nursing, current Illinois RN licensure, BLS certification, and NRP certification within six months. NICU experience is preferred. Strong assessment, critical thinking, teamwork, and communication skills are essential.
