About the role
Utilizes the nursing process for assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation to provide safe, therapeutic care. Functions as a member of the interdisciplinary and nursing teams; carries out established nursing procedures and performs related duties as required; performs nursing care for patients with more complex needs with assistance and supervision. Assists with the management of patient care administered by other members of the nursing team.
Responsible for maintaining the knowledge and abilities essential to the performance of stated behaviors. Carries out legal responsibilities within the scope of the Nurse Practice Act. Accountable to the NURSE SVC SUPV 2 and NURSE SVC MGR 2 for overall work performance.
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum of two (2) years of recent transitional care unit experience as a registered nurse
- This position requires flexibility to orient and work at all UCSF Medical Center locations.
Preferred Qualifications:
- BSN
- NIHSS preferred.
- Neuroscience Specialty Certification preferred.
Licenses/Certifications:
- Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of California.
- Current healthcare provider CPR certification
- ACLS for TCU and Adult Critical Care RNs.
