Key responsibilities include performing detailed neurological assessments, ICP monitoring, medication titration, and managing surgical drains, ventilators, and temperature regulation. The nurse will utilize advanced technology such as telemetry monitoring and assist in critical tasks like seizure care and stroke management, requiring NIHSS certification.
Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team—including LPNs, PCNAs, providers, and therapists—is essential to delivering comprehensive patient care in a 24-bed unit recognized for excellence with awards like the Daisy and Beacon awards.
Qualifications include a graduate of an accredited nursing program, Ohio RN licensure, and BLS certification. Preferred credentials are a BSN and professional certifications aligned with Magnet standards. The role demands critical thinking, time management, delegation skills, and a commitment to high-quality, patient-centered care.
