Registered Nurse - Neonatal Intensive Care Unit

About This Role

This night-shift post on the cardiac ward pairs patient care with mentoring new nurses. Caring for patients after surgery is the heart of the job on a busy surgical ward.

Responsibilities

• Provide care and treatment to patients within the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU)
• Work as part of an interdisciplinary team to ensure a superior patient experience
• Deliver safe, high-quality clinical care in the absence of preventable harm

Requirements

• One year of recent acute care nurse experience
• RN Diploma, ASN required
• PA RN license required
• Provider BLS (American Heart Assoc/American Red Cross) required

Nice to have:

• One plus years of Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) experience
• BSN preferred
• NRP preferred

Important Details

• Schedule options: Full-Time (36 hours per week), Part-Time (under 36 hours per week), Per Diem Tier I (36 hours per 6 weeks schedule), Per Diem Tier II (72 hours per 6-week schedule), Weekend Program (Saturday and Sunday, 12 hours shift, 2 out of 4 Weekends or 3 out of 4 Weekends per month)
• Shift options: Full Time and Part Time (Nights, 7:00pm-7:30am), Per Diem (Days and Nights), Weekend Program (Either Days or Nights)
• Team: The Neonatal ICU leadership team includes Nurse Manager, Clinical Coordinator and Nurse Educator

About the Company

Main Line Health is one of the region's leading healthcare organizations. Bryn Mawr Hospital's Neonatal ICU is a 14-bed level III unit, with an additional 4 beds for increased patient census. A team of physicians and staff provide care to patients starting from 23 weeks and above, handling all medical and ventilation needs. All infants with surgical needs will be stabilized and transferred. Angel Eyes monitors are in place to keep parents connected with their infants when they cannot be at the bedside. The physicians' teams are affiliated with Children's Hospital of Philadelphia.
