About the role
This role is for a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) Registered Nurse with prior inpatient experience and preferred NICU experience. Responsibilities include performing patient assessments, developing and implementing care plans, administering medications, and monitoring neonatal patients with conditions such as prematurity, respiratory distress, and feeding issues.
Key duties involve maintaining accurate documentation, ensuring patient and staff safety, assisting with breastfeeding, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment.
Qualifications include active RN licensure, certifications in Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) within 1 year, and Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days. Strong assessment skills, medication administration, IV and NG/OG insertions, and effective communication are essential.
