About the role
Role Overview: A Med Surg RN is responsible for delivering personalized, evidence-based nursing care, building meaningful patient and family relationships, and ensuring optimal clinical outcomes. They collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to create a safe, respectful environment, contribute to performance improvement initiatives, and mentor fellow nurses. The role involves applying evidence-based practices, participating in research, and supporting patient safety and system enhancements. Additionally, the RN plans proactive care, manages resources efficiently, and helps develop protocols to improve patient experiences.
Qualifications & Skills
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program; BSN preferred
- RN license (single or multi-state), BLS, ACLS certifications
- At least 2 years of recent Med Surg experience and data entry skills
- Familiarity with Epic and 3M systems is a plus
- Strong communication, interpersonal, critical thinking, and time management skills
- Comfort with technology and maintaining composure in fast-paced or emergency situations
