About the role
Role Overview: Responsible for providing compassionate, evidence-based care to patients recovering from strokes, brain injuries, and surgeries within the Med Surg Neuro department. Acts as a central coordinator among physicians, therapists, and families to ensure seamless, safe, and effective recovery processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality nursing care, monitoring and interpreting patient clinical status for timely interventions.
- Coordinate multidisciplinary teams to facilitate patient recovery and discharge planning.
- Educate patients and families, empowering them for a successful transition home.
Qualifications & Skills
- Registered Nurse licensure from the Wisconsin Board of Nursing or a valid multi-state license.
- Current BLS certification (American Heart Association or Red Cross) obtained within 1 month of hire.
- Diploma from an accredited nursing program or equivalent professional licensure.
