About the role
Role Overview: Responsible for assessing, planning, coordinating, implementing, and evaluating nursing care for assigned patients. Serves as a primary or accountable nurse, ensuring patient safety and quality care.
Key Responsibilities
- Educate patients and families on health promotion, treatment plans, and disease management.
- Administer medications safely, utilizing pharmacology knowledge in accordance with policies.
- Support efficient resource use, including staffing, supplies, and services.
- Adhere to nursing standards, regulatory requirements, and organizational policies.
- Participate in shared governance, unit activities, quality improvement, peer reviews, and evidence-based practice.
- Foster a supportive learning environment for new staff, students, and observers.
- Engage in ongoing professional development and mandatory training.
- Perform additional duties to ensure safe, effective patient care.

Education & Licensure
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing (minimum).
- Preferred: BSN and experience in acute or ambulatory care.
- Must hold a current New York State RN license.
- Preferred certifications include CCRN, ACLS, PALS, or TNCC.
Work Environment: Performed in clinical and patient areas, requiring walking, standing, bending, and lifting in a fast-paced setting with exposure to cleaning solutions and PPE usage.
Patient Demographics: Services all age groups.
