About the role
Role: Infection Control Nurse responsible for leading outbreak response, training hospital staff on hygiene practices, creating safety policies, and reviewing patient data to identify infection risks.
Responsibilities Include
- Tracking and investigating infection clusters to prevent spread.
- Educating healthcare professionals on infection prevention protocols.
- Developing and implementing health and safety policies based on current medical standards.
- Monitoring patient data to identify and mitigate infection risks.
Qualifications
- Registered Nurse licensure from the Oklahoma Board of Nursing.
- Certification in Infection Prevention and Control within 3 years of hire.
- Preferred: CIC certification and 3+ years of infection prevention experience, especially with surgical background.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills across hospital departments.
- Demonstrated critical thinking, accountability, and relationship-building abilities.
