Registered Nurse - Heart Failure Unit

Role Overview Provides professional nursing care as part of an interdisciplinary team, applying the nursing process to deliver and manage patient care.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess patient status through interviews, observations, and physical examinations.
• Develop individualized care plans collaboratively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
• Implement appropriate interventions to achieve desired patient outcomes.
• Continuously evaluate and document patient progress, adjusting care plans as necessary.
• Complete accurate documentation, including patient charts and event reports.
• Maintain professional accountability through ongoing self-development and resource utilization.
• Operate and troubleshoot medical equipment, ensuring safety and proper function.
• Perform bedside lab testing and quality control following hospital policies.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to organize tasks from admission to discharge.
• Adapt teaching strategies to meet the age-specific needs of patients and families.
• Participate in data collection, analysis, and process improvements to enhance care quality and patient satisfaction.
• Ensure care delivery aligns with standards, evidence-based practices, safety goals, and quality initiatives.

Qualifications & Skills

• Current RN license and BLS certification within 30 days.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing; High School Diploma or GED required.
• Technical proficiency with medical equipment and laboratory procedures.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
