Position: Registered Nurse (RN) – Med Surg 5W
Role & Responsibilities: Utilize the nursing process to deliver patient care, maintain professional accountability, and coordinate care with other departments. Ensure patient rights and confidentiality are upheld while providing comprehensive nursing services aligned with organizational standards.
Unit Overview: Cares for adult medical patients with diverse diagnoses such as infections, obstructions, and pneumonia, offering an environment to strengthen core Med Surg skills and assessment abilities.
Qualifications: Must have a nursing degree (ADN, Diploma, or BSN), current RN licensure in Missouri or compact license, and BLS certification. Prior hospital experience and additional certifications are preferred.
Skills & Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand and walk extensively, and perform physical tasks like reaching, bending, and kneeling. Strong assessment skills, professionalism, and adherence to safety standards are essential.
