About the role
Role: Registered Nurse in the Emergency Department, working night shifts. Provides professional nursing care following hospital policies and the Illinois Registered Nurse Practice Act. Assesses patient conditions, recognizes changes, plans and evaluates care, and delegates tasks to staff. Collaborates as part of a team to meet unit goals.
Responsibilities: Critical thinking, patient assessment, monitoring progress, recording observations, and ensuring quality care. Maintains compliance with certification requirements including CPR, ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS. Supports patient safety and comfort.
Qualifications: Associates Degree or higher in Nursing; if only an Associate Degree, must obtain a Bachelor’s Degree within five years. Requires 1+ years of emergency department experience. Must hold a current Illinois RN license, CPR certification, and acquire ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS certifications within specified timeframes.
