The Registered Nurse (RN) is a professional caregiver responsible for managing patient care in a designated unit, utilizing the nursing process, technology, and resources to deliver quality care.
Key Responsibilities Include
- Performing initial assessments and developing individualized care plans
- Executing nursing interventions and updating care plans based on patient evaluations
- Ensuring patient and staff safety by reporting hazards
- Documenting patient care accurately and thoroughly
- Assisting with procedures such as airway management, central lines, and other specialized interventions
- Collaborating with healthcare team, families, and patients to promote healing
- Supervising and mentoring new staff and providing feedback for professional development
- Managing supplies, medications, and equipment efficiently
- Ensuring compliance with departmental standards and safety protocols
Qualifications And Skills
- Valid RN licensure and certifications in BLS, PALS, ACLS, and Pediatric Life Support
- Nursing diploma and relevant work experience
- Proficiency in clinical procedures, documentation, and equipment use
- Strong communication, teamwork, and safety awareness skills.
